Editor's note One of those lagging indicators of the economy, the DEEWR Vacancies Report, has confirmed that job opportunities in Australia's ICT sector over the past 12 months have become harder and harder to find. Despite economic reports continuing to show that Australia is outperforming most of the developed world, the number of advertised vacancies has fallen by 22 per cent. Absolutely no prizes will be given for guessing that Perth is booming with IT gigs, and that Sydney is in free-fall. Also this week, Android users will also want to check out our browser round-up. One of the interesting tidbits I picked up during this review was the extent to which each mobile vendor customises the stock Android browser. Depending on the device manufacturer, the experience with the stock browser can range from great (ASUS Transformer) to infuriating (hello, HTC).
